    Black LGBT(Q)+ Caucus Leader

    Nicolette Metoyer is a Chicago native, hailing from the North Park neighborhood, with a passion for understanding the world we live in with an analytical lens. They received their Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Illinois Chicago with a Black Studies minor.

    Throughout her undergraduate career she discovered a talent and love for event planning in her role as the Chair of Black History Month. Connecting with other folks at the intersection of the margins to craft communal spaces that preserve the rich cultural legacy of spaces our ancestors founded, is at the center of her interests. A poet at heart and a higher education professional in occupation, they use historical, political, and social contexts to encourage others to engage in radical care and critical thinking.
