    Michael Stone (he/him), a dedicated legal professional and community advocate, serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Lighthouse Foundation. With a J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School and an undergraduate degree from Harvard, Michael has had a distinguished career, including roles at Kirkland & Ellis, Kellogg Business School, the Cook County Assessor’s Office, and currently as the Legal Director for the Center for Disability & Elder Law. His expertise spans law, elder and disability law, and non-profit management, with significant contributions to affordable housing and property tax reform. Michael is actively involved in various community activities, including the Auxiliary Board of Directors of the Center on Halsted, the OUTAging Committee, and state-wide racial equity organizations, bringing strategic leadership to Lighthouse Foundation’s mission and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community.
