Lauren Hamilton
She/Her
CARE Leader
Lauren Hamilton, originally from the southside of Minneapolis, brings her expertise in racial equity facilitation, restorative practices, and program design to her role as CARE Leader at Lighthouse Foundation (LF). With a Psychology degree from Northwestern University, Lauren has spent over a decade in Chicago fostering community-based change. She currently supports student organizing and justice-centered programming in the Office of Equity at Evanston Township High School while deepening her connections to Chicago’s movement-building communities through projects like the Crossroads Fund Giving Project.
Passionate about creating spaces for dialogue and collective care, Lauren’s work at LF focuses on growing CARE membership and implementing programs that respond to the current political moment while prioritizing joy and sustainability. Outside of work, she enjoys hot yoga, supporting local creatives, and spending time with her cats, Otis and Braylor. Lauren embodies her favorite Angela Davis quote: “It is in collectivities that we find reservoirs of hope and optimism.”
