National Coming Out Day is October 11, and this year, in addition to hosting a fundraiser, we’re partnering with some of our CARE member churches for a Coming Out Sunday celebration! Join these churches across Chicagoland as they unite to host affirming church services in honor of National Coming Out Day. Together, clergy from these churches will provide sermons highlighting how essential it is for people of faith to support the Black Queer Equity Index (#BQEI). Intersectional justice is at the heart of Jesus’ life, teachings, and ministry! Come celebrate with Bethany UCC, Gilead Church Chicago, Inclusive Collective, and Lighthouse Church of Chicago UCC!
