August CARE Connect

  • Sip and Savor 78 East 47th Street Chicago, IL, 60653 United States (map)

Join us for our next Coalition of Accomplices for Racial Equity (CARE) Connect meeting in person at Sip and Savor! This gathering will include light refreshments and an engaging discussion on the importance of creating affirming spiritual spaces for the LGBTQ+ community. With only two CARE Connects left this year, this is your opportunity to tap into our community and engage in meaningful conversations.

Guest Speaker: Johndalyn (Jae)

We are thrilled to welcome Johndalyn Armstrong (Jae) as our guest speaker. Jae is a mental health coach and healer who integrates various spiritual and healing practices into her work. She holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Saybrook University.

Jae is the founder of The Hope and Healing Salon, which offers consultancy and coaching services in mental health rehabilitation, identity/orientation support, career visioning, and spirituality identification support. An eclectic spiritualist, Jae incorporates Buddhist philosophies into her daily life and has a rich history of ministry, including serving as a Deacon and Ordained Minister. She is deeply committed to social justice and advocates for accessible and culturally competent mental health support for all.

Her presentation will focus on the importance of LGBTQ+ spirituality and the necessity of finding spiritual communities that affirm all aspects of one's identity.

Don't miss this chance to connect with fellow accomplices committed to advancing Black LGBTQ+ justice and spirituality. See you there!
