Racial Justice Organizing
We are invested in bringing about a more just future where Black LGBTQ+ people thrive through racial justice organizing. Our racial justice organizing began in a grassroots response to a series of racist incidents that unfolded in one of Chicago’s most prominent gayborhoods and culminated in removing a racist security firm from the largest LGBTQ+ center in the Midwest [link to About Us]. Drawing on the Civil Rights Movement, our model of collaboration brings Black LGBTQ+ people and accomplices together to dismantle the discrimination Black LGBTQ+ people face.
